L’ISO International Organization for standardization tramite i suoi competenti Comitati tecnici sta portando avanti un’ampia ed importante attività normativa nell’ambito dell’affidabilità, durabilità e manutenzione delle strutture in calcestruzzo.
La ISO 16311-1 è la prima di quattro norme dedicate alla manutenzione delle strutture in calcestruzzo emesse nel 2014 a cura Sottocomitato 7 -manutenzione e riparazione delle strutture in calcestruzzo -dell’ISO/TC 71-calcestruzzo, calcestruzzo armato e precompresso-.
Questa norma riguarda le strutture esistenti ma i suoi contenuti sono utili anche per la progettazione delle nuove per le quali risulta oltremodo utile e complementare la ISO 16204:2012 “Durability-Service life design of concrete structures”.
La ISO 16311-1 definisce i contenuti della procedura di manutenzione che comprende: piano di manutenzione, accertamenti e riparazioni ed azioni correttive.
Questa parte fornisce un quadro completo che oltre ad includere un’esauriente terminologia delinea le interrelazioni fra le varie attività consentendo un’immediata comprensione di tutti i processi che interessano la manutenzione delle strutture in calcestruzzo.

ISO 16311-1 is the first of four Standards concerning the maintenance of concrete structures issued in 2014 by the STC 7 – maintenance and repair of concrete structures- of ISO/TC71-concrete, reinforced and prestressed concrete-.
This Standard deals with existing structures but its contents are useful also for the design of new structures ; maintenance design requirements for theseones should take in consideration ISO 16204:2012 “Durability-Service life design of concrete structures” too.
