I sistemi C-FRP sono utilizzati da molti anni nel settore del recupero edilizio. Finora sono disponibili pochi dati sugli effetti indotti sulle prestazioni meccaniche di tali manufatti da ambienti ad elevata temperatura e tasso di umidità. Per verificare e quantificare l'entità di tali fenomeni di degrado nel 2010 è stata effettuata presso l’ITC-CNR una nuova ricerca sul tema. Qui sono sinteticamente illustrati, i metodi di condizionamento utilizzati per "l'invecchiamento" di campioni di cemento armato rinforzato esternamente con C-FRP, i metodi di prova per la valutazione delle prestazioni meccaniche e i primi relativi risultati.

TEMPERATURE AND MOISTURE EFFECTS IN EXTERNALLY STRENGTHENED CONCRETE
The C-FRP systems have been used for several years in the field of building restoration. So far only few data are available about the weakness of mechanical performance due to environment with high temperature and humidity rate. To verify and quantify the entity of such a degradation phenomena a new research on the subject has been carried out at ITC-CNR in 2010. Here are synthetically shown, conditioning methods used for “aging” the concrete samples externally reinforced with C-FRP, test methods to evaluate mechanical performance and the related first results.
